This glittering cross ornament in traditional red, green, and gold tones provides the perfect touch to your tree. The vintage feel is achieved by coating the interior of the glass with mercury and hand-painting the exterior. Glass. 4.5 inches tall. Mercury glass is made using a solution of silver (not actual mercury) that is swirled inside the glass, leaving a thin film. The finish is then antiqued, giving it a well-worn patina look that won't tarnish.
