Our products are required to meet applicable federal standards for food safety. However, the materials used in printing the decorations found on the exterior of certain specified ceramic and glass products contain trace amounts of lead and cadmium, chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Retailers who meet the above criteria are required to place a warning sign near displays of the listed products, and e-tailers must put a warning on their websites. The warning should read as follows: "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive toxicity."
The method employed to transmit the warning must be reasonably calculated, considering the alternative methods available under the circumstances, to make the warning message available to the individual prior to exposure.This warning requirement applies to all sales to California residents and to products shipped into California. However, small businesses with less than 10 employees are exempt from the warning requirement of Proposition 65.
